Mr Edward Tian is the Chairman of CBC Capital, a first Chinese TMT sector focused private equity fund with CNC Group and Chinese government affiliate, with PCCW as an initial anchor investors. Before Mr. Tian founded CBC Capital, he was the Vice Chairman and CEO of China Netcom Group. China Netcom is a leading fixed-line telecommunications operator in China and a leading data communications operator in the Asia-Pacific region. It is also the only telecommunications company in China that operates an extensive network and offers international data services in the APAC region. In November 2004, Mr. Tian led China Netcom’s successful listing in the Hong Kong and New York Stock Exchanges with a total 1.8 billion US dollars raised. It was the largest telecom IPO in 2004.
