The global economy is facing strong headwinds in 2008. The spreading crisis crunch and inflation also impact on China's economy and financial market to some extent. On the contrary, Venture Capital and Private Equity funds are playing a more active and important role this year. Both the mature capital markets and emerging markets generate great investment opportunities. China, as always the most exciting market of VC/PE industry, is experiencing rapid growth of innovation economy, as well as challenges and opportunities the Olympic Game brings. In 2008, China's VC/PE industry still attracts sizable international and domestic capital. As Legend Hongyi and CDH investment raised money from China's Pension funds, the RMB funds seems not just a talk, but exercisable. The legal structure for foreign investment and domestic capital market is being developed for better supporting mutual benefits of entrepreneurs and investors.

But what's behind economic phenomenons? How is the real investment environment and development trend in China? Will Renminbi becomes a dominant financing recourse rather than US dollar? Is the domestic market another golden mine for Venture Capital? What are the hot investment sections in China? The China Venture Capital Association (CVCA) Annual General Meeting & China Venture Capital/Private Equity Summit (CVCA AGM & Summit) is an ideal occasion to discuss such questions, to find answers and identify new initiatives.

Since 2002, CVCA AGM & Summit has grown to become the most important and highly recognized events in China's VC and PE industry. Each year, members and the community gather at the event to catch up with old associates, meet new friends and business partners, as well as learn about the latest industry trends and to share experience.

CVCA 2008 AGM & Summit will take place on October 30-31 in the Beijing Kunlun Hotel. Whether you are a venture capitalist, a service provider to VC/PE or an entrepreneur hoping to attract investment, attending CVCA AGM & Summit will give you the best exposure and strengthen your firm's relationship to the VC/PE community in the most comprehensive way.
