CVCA China Government Seminar: Policy Interpretation and Practice on foreign VC/PE establishing partnerships in Shangh...

When implementing regulations (SAIC"47" and State Council"567") which govern foreign-invested partnerships (FIP), foreign investors can adopt other approaches when structuring their China investment and operations. Given such circumstances, on March 30, CVCA and SHPEA successfully launched the CVCA China Government Seminar with the theme of "Policy Interpretation and Practice in Foreign-Invested Partnerships" in Shanghai.

We were fortunate to have two government officials, Mr. Feng HUANG and Mr. Peigang YU, together with other legal and financial professionals as our keynote guests. They elaborated on FIP registration flow, registrar authority jurisdiction, and nature identification of portfolio companies. In addition, attendees and speakers held an excited discussion on the topics of taxation and legal issues, and a more in-depth conversation on upcoming policies sparked attendees’ boundless imagination. It was, overall, a most lively and enlightening event.
