China Private Equity Forum - How to Strengthen Your Organization and Human Capital Competitiveness

“How is Human Capital valued and rewarded at your firm? Does your existing incentive/carried interest plan align with your business model and/or growth stage?” Regarding these topics, China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA) cordially invited Mclagan to hold our 2011 China Private Equity Forum in Beijing and Shanghai respectively, in order to help industry executives better understand the current business trends and incentive models. As an associate member of CVCA, Mclagan has specialized in providing performance and compensation consulting, along with various related studies to the financial services sector.

The guest speakers were all senior consultants, including Glen Vilim (Founder of GV Trusted Partners), Stuart Main (Global Head of Strategic Compensation, Mclagan) and Robert Li (Head of Asia Pacific, Mclagan). Each of them shared their own expertise on the organization models, development trends, constructs of annual pay and carried interests, based on the global and local private equity practices. In brief, the seminar placed an emphasis on the specialized analysis of the human capital issues, and provided a great deal of inspiration for the executives.

During the Q&A session that was held afterward, the professionals from Mclagan presented some typical cases of PE firms, and discussed the unique long-term incentive vehicles for the PE industry with the audience.
