The Cross-border investment management training program was successfully held in Dalian on June 8th and 9th. The program was organized by China Finance Training Center and supported by China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA). More than 20 professionals from CVCA member companies participated in this program. In order to explore more about the investment environment and the development of VC/PE industry in Dalian, and seek the potential investment opportunity, CVCA organized a high level study mission during the training to visit Mr. Shengfeng Xiao, executive vice mayor of the Dalian Municipal People's Government, and other officials of the Dalian Government.
Mr. Shengfeng Xiao welcomed CVCA study mission and introduced the economic and industry development recently in Dalian, and analyzed the strategy and the investment opportunities in the auto industry, chemistry industry, high-end manufacturing, service outsourcing, logistics industry and etc., and eventually, Mr. Xiao specially introduced the preferential policies for PE funds in Dalian.
Ms. Crystal SUI, President of CVCA, conveyed the greetings of Yichen ZHANG, Chairman of CVCA, and briefly introduced the history, mission and members' information of CVCA. In the meantime, Ms. SUI invited Mr. Xiao and other officials to CVCA 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner on June 18th. The delegates of the study mission introduced the most attractive industries for them and the investment areas of their organization, and all of them showed strong wishes to work closely with the Dalian government and seek for the investment opportunities.
By this event, both CVCA and the members made an initial understanding of the investment environment and investment opportunity in Dalian. CVCA built an information sharing and communication platform for CVCA members to seek the investment opportunities in Dalian and also laid a solid foundation for the further cooperation between the association and the related departments in Dalian government.
The delegates of Dalian study mission were from CVCA member companies including CITIC Capital, TPG, Legend Capital, FountainVest Partners, CDIB Capital, Goldman Sachs, PwC and etc.
