Case Study and Best Practice-Impact of U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act ("FATCA") on PE/VCs - July 31, Shanghai

The PRC State Administration of Taxation ("SAT") has just announced that China has agreed in substance on intergovernmental agreement ("IGA") with the U.S. regarding the implementation of FATCA on June 26th, thus urging all Chinese FFIs (foreign (non-U.S.) financial institutions ) to take immediate actions towards full compliance with FATCA. Without further delays, FATCA was put into force on July 1st, 2014.

Commencing July 1st, FATCA require FFIs to document its account holders, including new and existing account holders, and reporting of those which are determined to be specified U.S. persons. Financial institutions which do not comply with FATCA are subject to reporting and possibly to withholding on U.S. source withholdable payments including gross proceeds from the sales of certain U.S. assets.

In the half-day seminar organized by CVCA, you will better understand the impact of FATCA, and address tax technical and operational matters to get across the finish line.
